Comments and likes
If you post a comment, your chosen display name, comment and posting date are public. The site stores these details with a random browser identifier and a request identifier so comments can be displayed and duplicate submissions limited. Likes are associated with the same browser identifier.
Avoid putting private contact details in a public comment. Published comments remain available until removed through moderation or a removal request.
Cookies and your language choice
Article pages use a first-party cookie with a random identifier to remember your reactions and limit repeated submissions. It can last up to one year. Your selected language—English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic or Portuguese—is saved in browser storage until you change it or clear the stored data.
You can clear cookies and site data in your browser. Doing so can reset your remembered reactions and language preference, but does not remove an already published comment.
Email enquiries
If you email us, your email address, message and any information you provide are used to respond and manage the enquiry or collaboration. Email is handled through our email provider. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to manage the enquiry, agreed work and related records.
Hosting, external links and advertising
Our hosting and security providers process technical request information to deliver and protect the site. Links to hotels, maps, social platforms and other websites open services with their own privacy practices. Those services may use cookies or collect information when you visit them.
Google Analytics cookies are enabled by default to understand visits and improve Travel With Taka. Click Decline to disable analytics cookies; cookieless measurement signals may still be sent. Your choice is remembered. Advertising and ad personalization remain off. Your choice is remembered in this browser. To ask about, correct or request removal of information you provided, email travelwithtaka@gmail.com. For a comment, include the article link, display name and approximate posting date so we can locate it. We may ask for enough information to verify the request.

Email updates
Joining the email list is optional. We privately store your email address, preferred language, signup page and consent date. We do not sell subscriber details. A daily hashed network identifier limits repeated submissions for up to 24 hours; expired identifiers are removed when the next signup is processed. After the site saves your consent, your browser submits your address and consent to Brevo. Brevo sends a confirmation email and adds you to the newsletter list only after you click its confirmation link. Without JavaScript, the form submits directly to Brevo. The site’s separate signup record remains unverified; Brevo records the confirmed subscription. Marketing emails must include Brevo’s unsubscribe link. You can unsubscribe at any time and request correction or deletion of the site’s private record at travelwithtaka@gmail.com. Records are retained until you request deletion. Brevo may retain suppression information needed to honor an unsubscribe request.
Google Analytics (G-LRZTT6J1QP) loads when a page opens. analytics_storage is granted by default, unless you have clicked Decline; your saved Decline choice keeps it denied on later visits. Accept analytics grants it again. ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization remain denied by default. The site does not run personalized ads.
