YOKOHAMA DINING 01

INTERCONTINENTAL YOKOHAMA GRAND

Afternoon Tea by the Waterfront

Afternoon tea at InterContinental Yokohama Grand came with an extra reason to linger: Cosmo Clock 21 and the Yokohama waterfront just beyond the windows. I would set aside a proper part of the afternoon for the sandwiches, sweets and scones instead of fitting them between other reservations.

01

A familiar ritual, neatly presented

My tea stand brought sandwiches and savouries, small cakes and fruit, with scones and condiments alongside. I would give the whole service its own place in the day, rather than squeeze it between two timed attractions. The setting makes an unhurried table part of exploring Yokohama.

02

The view is part of the course

From my table, I could keep the water and Ferris wheel in view between bites. If I booked again for that outlook, I would request a window seat while accepting that it cannot always be guaranteed. I would also leave enough time to enjoy it once seated.

Book the current menu, not the photograph

Hotel afternoon teas change with the season. These photos record what we enjoyed on our visit; flavours, presentation, price and venue details may be different now. Check the hotel’s current offer before choosing a date, especially if a particular theme or ingredient matters to you.
