ONNA, OKINAWA
ANA InterContinental Manza: The Okinawa Stay I Would Choose Again
If I could choose just one hotel in Okinawa, this would be it. My two nights at Manza brought together the view, the staff and the Club Lounge—the combination behind my 10/10 verdict.
If I only have one choice in Okinawa, it's this one. I could spend my entire vacation here without needing to leave the hotel — the staff, the view, and the lounge.

The view is only the beginning
If I could choose only one hotel in Okinawa, I would choose Manza. The view is part of the answer, but so are the staff and the lounge. Together, they are why I give this stay 10/10. During those two nights in March 2024, I had a top-floor beach view and Club Lounge access—good reasons to enjoy the resort rather than fill every hour with an excursion.
My advice is to leave a little space in the itinerary. A walk around the grounds and time on the balcony belong in the holiday too. The sea is doing quite enough work for one afternoon.

The room: a view worth noticing
For March 15–17, 2024, I booked a 2 Single Classic Beach View and received a 2 Single Classic Top Floor Beach View. The important change was the floor and outlook; the confirmed upgrade was still within the Classic twin-room category.
In my room, white bedding and blue-green accents pick up the colours outside. I have a place to sit on the balcony, while teal mosaic tiles continue the coastal palette in the bathroom. The furnishing is straightforward; the bay beyond the glass is what I would prioritise when choosing this room.

03
Club Lounge: part of the day
My stay also included Club Lounge access, with breakfast, afternoon tea and evening refreshments. That gave the visit a useful rhythm: somewhere to begin the morning, take an afternoon break and return for an evening plate. The window-side tables kept the water in view even when food had my full attention.
These were two separate stay benefits: a higher-floor room and lounge access. For your own booking, confirm both individually. A top-floor room name alone does not tell you what food or lounge privileges your rate includes.
The photographs were taken on different dates. Together they show the lounge as a recurring part of the stay: breakfast when the morning is still quiet, afternoon tea with something sweet, and evening plates when the bay begins to darken. That changing rhythm is what made the access feel useful rather than merely decorative.
Eggs Benedict for breakfast

From eggs Benedict to pyjamas
At the table, I moved between eggs Benedict, tiered afternoon tea and evening plates with roast beef, fruit and sweets. These are meals from different moments, with the bay running through the story. I would check the current service details before expecting the same selection on another stay.
There was also a burger, club sandwich and fries back in the room. Apparently, the dress code for that particular dining experience was pyjamas. Keep room service in its own budget, and treat evening lounge refreshments as refreshments when planning dinner.
05
The luxury-on-a-budget calculation
I would compare the total cost of a room with breakfast against a lounge-inclusive rate, then ask how much time I actually plan to spend at the resort. Breakfast and afternoon tea only improve value if I am there to enjoy them. If every day is a road trip, paying more for lounge access may make less sense.
For a stay centred on the hotel, the combination is much more persuasive. I like a little luxury; I also like knowing which parts I will use.
06
Who I would recommend it to
I would shortlist Manza for a trip built around the beach, leisurely meals and time on the balcony. For a full schedule of road trips, I would calculate differently: the best hotel extras are the ones I actually have time to use.
This is a review of my March 2024 stay. Before booking, check the current room description and official Club InterContinental inclusions; the hotel notes that benefits and operations can change. My upgrade is a record of that visit, not a promise for a future reservation.
PLAN YOUR ARRIVAL
Getting there
Manza is on Okinawa’s west coast, so the journey from Naha Airport is part of the day. Choose the bus for a hands-off arrival or a car for the freedom to explore Onna and northern Okinawa.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT
Airport bus
From Naha Airport, the airport limousine bus reaches the ANA InterContinental Manza Beach Resort stop in about 100 minutes. Another option is the Okinawa Airport Shuttle to Navi Beach-mae, about 90 minutes; confirm the walk or onward connection when planning.
Taxi or rental car takes about 80 minutes in normal conditions. The hotel’s official route uses the Okinawa Expressway and Yaka interchange for part of the journey. Travel time can grow with traffic, weather and holiday congestion.

The lounge photographs on this page come from different dates, including my March 2024 stay. I kept them together because the appeal is in the full-day rhythm: a calm breakfast, a generous afternoon pause and a small evening plate. Menus and inclusions change, so check the current details before booking.
